What a great weekend spent with family! We haven’t been able to spend time with my family in many months and the nieces & nephews are getting so big. 🙂
Jason had hoped for a relaxing weekend spent in his pajamas, doing absolutely nothing. And while he did not get that completely accomplished, he did have a few hours of piece and quiet.
M & C enjoyed the time spent with their cousins, including a chance to climb all over a local town’s fire trucks! They got to help Grammy & Grampy usher at church, go shopping, make cookies and make messes! We were also able to visit the house recently purchased by my brother’s family – wooded, secluded, very nice. And very them! It was also the weekend for the monthly extended family luncheon, which I was glad to be able to take part in.
On our way home, we stopped at Jason’s parents’ house to welcome them home from vacation and they invited us to stay for dinner. I think that was a ploy to spend some much-needed time with their grandchildren, but hey! I didn’t have to make dinner. 🙂 Was also fun to catchup.
